One of the highlights of the TEC Experience is our specialty camp program. Each of these mini-camps is offered as a supplement to our program and provides campers with an opportunity to receive additional personalized, higher-level instruction. We gear the camps so that the beginner, as well as the advanced camper, will be able to learn in a fun-filled environment.
As with everything we do at TEC, these programs reflect our "success based on attitude, rather than aptitude" approach while developing our campers' skills and more importantly, their self-confidence.
We are excited to bring Mark Jerome and Global Professional Sports to Trail’s End this summer to lead our Basketball Camp. Widely considered to be one of the northeast’s most recognized and accomplished high school coaches, Mark’s basketball experience covers all levels on and off of the court. Currently, Mark runs Live City Basketball and Global Professional Sports. Live City Basketball is New York City’s premier basketball league that attracts hundreds of teams. Global Sports provides high level coaching for boys and girls through teams, camps and clinics. Several of his former players are in the NBA and are college student athletes. Mark’s son, Ty Jerome, is currently a junior and starting point guard at the University of Virginia.
Coach Jerome, along with his talented staff, will run a 3-day camp focusing on shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding and defense. Campers will rotate through each of these stations and will then be placed on teams where they will learn in a game environment. The camp is designed to challenge beginners through advanced players. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
Over the past few summers, hockey has become one of the most popular sports at TEC. Along these lines, we are happy to announce that our 2019 TEC Hockey Camp will once again be led by former TEC Hockey Director, Nikita Kashirskiy. Nikita is a former professional hockey player with eight years of experience. He was a two time All-American, ECAC East Player of the Year, and ECAC Rookie of the Year at Norwich University. Participating in this camp will challenge both the beginner and experienced player. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
Coach Ivan Baron and his staff will be back with us this summer to lead our 3-day Tennis Camp. Ivan was a former ATP World Tour professional player, All-American at the University of Georgia and was the #1 ranked junior player in the world. In addition, Ivan has coached the United States Junior National Team, as well as at the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University. He is currently the Tournament Chairman of multiple ATP professional, USTA and ITF amateur national/international tennis events in Florida. Being a part of this 3-day training camp will be an invaluable experience for both the intermediate and advanced player. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
In addition to our 3-day Tennis Camp, we will be introducing the Trail’s End Tennis Experience, an enhanced program that will combine our Tennis Camp, with weekly private/semi-private lessons.
Golf Camp @ Woodloch Springs Golf Resort
The Woodloch Springs golf camp is a great complement to the TEC golf program. Campers will take part in a 3-day camp under the supervision of John Pillar, Director of Golf at the Woodloch Resort. John and his staff will work on each camper's golf swing, including driving, chipping and putting during the lessons at the learning center range and on the course. During the time on the course, campers will have an opportunity to learn from the pros while playing on the Woodloch course.
In addition to our 6-lesson Golf Camp, we will be introducing the Trail’s End Golf Experience, an enhanced program that will combine our 3-day Golf Camp, with weekly semi-private lessons.

More importantly, they aim to instill a sense of self-confidence, leadership, teamwork and overall fun to their program. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
Based on the popularity of our Baseball Program, we will be offering a 3-day Baseball Camp led by Trail’s End Baseball Director, Mo Rodriguez. Mo has coached baseball at both the collegiate and professional levels. He has worked with over 50 professional baseball players at Baseball Academies in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Venezuela. He is currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Trinity Episcopal School in Natchez, Mississippi. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
We are excited to announce the return of our Gymnastics Specialty Camp this summer. The camp will be run under the direction of Melissa Rossero from Hotshots Gymnastics. Coach Rossero was a competitive gymnast for over 9 years and has been coaching for the past 16 years. Alongside her husband, she owns and operates 3 Hotshots gyms where coaching gymnasts from the beginner level to the most advanced takes place. During the 3-day specialty camp, Coach Rossero and her staff will teach the campers new gymnastic skills, in addition to improving the gymnasts’ techniques in their current skills. This gymnastics camp is designed for both the beginning tumbler, as well as the higher-level gymnast. Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day.
